About French Farm Estate
French Farm Estate sits in the hills of French Farm Valley on Banks Peninsula, about an hour from Christchurch, and overlooks Akaroa Harbour. It began as a producing winery and has served the Banks Peninsula community for more than three decades.
The estate has been the setting for many weddings and celebrations. Its French-provincial style, kept gardens, meandering streams and native trees and birds give it a Mediterranean feel, and the grounds include historic architecture.
The Old Winery Garden Bar serves food and drinks, with live music at times and outdoor seating. A lodge with accommodation is planned.

The drive from Akaroa takes around 10 minutes.
