About Otahuna Lodge
Otahuna Lodge is a Victorian mansion built in 1895 on Rhodes Road in Tai Tapu, about 20 to 25 minutes by car from Christchurch city centre. It has seven suites, 30 acres of original gardens and a Relais & Châteaux membership with two MICHELIN Keys.
Wedding ceremonies can be held across the gardens, including the Great Lawn beside the property's lake, or indoors in the Entry Hall and Drawing Room with their stained glass. The Ballroom hosts reception dinners, with original wooden panelling, a 7-metre vaulted ceiling and French doors.
Exclusive use bookings of the whole lodge are welcomed regularly, and elopement packages and multi-night stays are offered. Some areas have steps, narrow doorways or uneven surfaces, so guests with accessibility needs should contact the team.
